Delete Your Account

You can delete your account in the AldSocial app. This page explains how it works, the 30-day restore period, and what may be retained.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

On this page 1. Delete in the app 2. Verification and review 3. What happens next 4. What may be retained 5. Questions and status

A deletion request does not mean that every record can or will be erased immediately. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law, lawful authority requirements, safety, fraud prevention, disputes or legal holds.

1. Delete in the app

Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. You will see what closes and what is kept, then choose a reason (Prefer Not to Say is one) and confirm once; the confirmation names the account being deleted.

If you cannot sign in, or need urgent erasure, email privacy@aldsocial.com from the email address connected to your account. If you cannot access that address, explain this so we can arrange ownership verification. Do not send passwords or one-time sign-in codes.

2. Verification and review

We must verify that the request belongs to the account owner before making an irreversible change. We will never ask for your password, and additional verification may be required to prevent unauthorised deletion.

In the app, deletion uses your signed-in session and one final confirmation naming your account; no separate Google confirmation is needed. Requests by email require ownership checks before any action.

3. What happens next

Your account closes immediately on confirmation and is signed out on every device. You can explicitly restore it within 30 days by signing in and choosing Restore This Account; signing in alone does not restore it. Cancelled plans and activities you have left will not be restored. After 30 days, erasure of personal data begins and is tracked until complete. Some shared activity and conversation history remains as “Deleted member”. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Signing out, clearing browser data or stopping use does not submit a deletion request. Rejoining after permanent erasure creates a new account, without access to the old one.

4. What may be retained

We may retain limited information when required or permitted by applicable local laws, regulations, court orders or lawful authority requests, and when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety investigations, disputes, enforcement or legal claims.

We may retain de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies you. Encrypted backups and some security, audit and support records may remain where needed to protect the Service, investigate a concern, document actions taken, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

5. Questions and status

Email privacy@aldsocial.com for help with a pending request. For broader privacy questions, read the Privacy Policy and the Privacy, Safety & Security Centre.
